Each member has a role to play. YWFSL is like a TRIPOD (or commonly like a 3-stone fireplace) where each of the arms is equally important. The absence of one can affect the entire functions of the Ministry. Let’s Reflect on Exodus 17:8-13.

THE BRANCH REGIONAL COMMITTEE (B.R.C) ARM OF YWFSL

The Army Fighting in the battle represents our Youth arm of YWFSL. They are in the Battle field of the communities they represent. The Youth Community is a world of many battles (Worldviews, Philosophies, Ideologies, hooliganism, cultism, bad habits, lack etc.). The Youth Community is the breeding ground for formal and informal ideas along with diverse storms to battle with. The most prominent platform where all these growth processes are said to take place is the Christian Church Fellowship, known simply as the (C.C.F).

THE STAFF ARM

Joshua the Captain/Commander of the Army in the Battle field can be compared to role played by the Staff Arm of YWFSL. The staff arm is composed of well experienced individuals who are called and are passionate about the running of the day-to-day affairs of the ministry. These Are Two Key Roles Played By The Staff:

1. Custodians of the Vision of the Ministry:

The staffs are the constant factor between associates and Youth. And as such they define and redefine the vision with time, in line with the National Director (N. D). The staffs are responsible to sell the vision, out to the Youth and associates. One of the ways the staff does this is training of the Youth as generation leaders. Also, the staff keeps in constant contact with the Associates/Pastor of the Ministry to keep them updated with current happenings in the ministry.

2. Pastoral Care:

In the context of the ministry, goes as far as routine Church/Branch visitations, praying for the Church/Branch and the Associates.

THE ASSOCIATE/ELDERS ARM OF YWFSL

YWFSL Associates are men and women who are Missionaries, Pastors, Church Leaders of various ministries or professions who demonstrate their commitment to YWFSL by partnering through prayers, giving discipleship training, being conference Guest speakers, Leadership trainers to youth in our fellowship programs to equip youth of various churches and communities. They are stakeholders to the vision and mission of YWFSL. The church in Sierra Leone is celebrated with many of these elders (Associates), serving as Christ ambassadors in their secular workplaces, contributing their own quota to the growth and development of the Church and society as a whole. It is in this light that the ministry encourages our Associates to demonstrate their commitment because these youth are without doubt the future leaders of the church and society. Failure to support the cause of the Gospel in reaching them today, means preparing for a woeful tomorrow.

ROLES OF ASSOCIATES IN YWFSL
